AS DELIVERED

Good morning Madame President,
We would like to thank the co-facilitators, Belgium and Jamaica, for their leadership on the ILO Centenary Resolution. Today the United States is pleased to join consensus. We agree that full and productive employment and decent work for all are key elements of sustainable development. As we noted during the Centenary Declaration’s adoption on June 21, the United States disassociates from certain issues in the Declaration, and regarding our concerns with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, as well as the term inclusive economic growth, we refer delegations to the General Statement we delivered in the Second Committee on November 8, 2018.
Thank you.
