Explanation of Position for the Adoption of the Promoting Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Building on Agenda 21 Resolution
The United States thanks Antigua and Barbuda and Finland for shepherding this resolution to a successful conclusion, and to our fellow delegates for their collaborative efforts. While the United States maintains its concerns with the procedural history of this resolution, we join consensus on this resolution in recognition of the importance of sustainable consumption and production in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. With respect to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we refer you to our General Statement delivered in the Second Committee on November 18, 2021.
