AS DELIVERED

On behalf of the U.S. Government, I would like to extend our thanks to the facilitator. We are pleased to join consensus on this resolution.

However, the United States would like to highlight that we withdrew from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in 1996, after concluding that the organization lacked a clear purpose and was generally ineffective.

With regard to references to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, the New Urban Agenda, the Paris Agreement, climate change, and characterizations of inclusive economic growth, industrial development, trade, and technology transfer, we addressed our concerns in our General Statement delivered on November 18.

Thank you.
