The United States is pleased to join consensus on this resolution.

The United States supports efforts of the United Nations development system entities to facilitate South-South Cooperation in line with principles of effective development, which include a focus on results, inclusive partnerships and consultations, transparency and accountability, and full respect for human rights. These principles help ensure that the development efforts of all actors advance the best outcomes for all partners and countries.

Regarding our position with respect to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, the Paris Agreement, climate change, and the phrase “build back better,” we refer you to our general statement delivered today.
