Mr. Chair,
The United States supports the achievement of sustainable development and recognizes the role that sustainable consumption and production practices can play in it. However, we do not believe that changes made to this resolution advance Second Committee revitalization enough to warrant not voting against this resolution this year.
Regarding references to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, we addressed our concerns in our General Statement delivered on November 18.
