The United States would like to thank Qatar for facilitating this important text and we are pleased to support it again this year.
We were pleased to see stronger language introduced on the empowerment of all women and girls; efforts to integrate a gender perspective into the work of the General Assembly and in report recommendations and conclusions; as well as reflection on the contributions of women and girls as agents of change; and renewed calls on UN entities to prevent, address, and eliminate sexual harassment.
We were also proud to join the joint statement delivered by Mexico on the generation equality forum.
