Media Advisory: Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to Brief Media on Global Food Security

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will brief members of the media at the UN on Thursday, June 16 at 11:30 a.m. EDT at the conclusion of Secretary Vilsack’s visit to New York.

Building on engagements featured during the U.S. Presidency of the UN Security Council, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and Secretary Vilsack will discuss what the United States is doing – both at home and abroad – to bolster global food supplies. They will discuss how countries can work together to deal with the recent spike in food insecurity caused by Russia’s war in Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic, and supply chain issues.

A livestream of the press conference will be available here: http://webtv.un.org/.
