Media Advisory: Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield to Travel to Atlanta
Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, will travel to Atlanta December 11 to head the U.S. Delegation to the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Conference of the States Parties (COSP). In keynote remarks, the Ambassador will underscore combatting corruption as a cornerstone of the Biden-Harris administration’s foreign policy and reaffirm U.S. commitment to supporting and empowering journalists, civil society members, and young people working to promote and protect democratic governance.
In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will visit the National Center for Civil and Human Rights where she will engage youth to discuss the next generation’s role in promoting democracy, human and civil rights.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will also visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum where she will participate in a moderated discussion on U.S. actions and leadership in securing human and civil rights for populations across the globe. This event will be open to the press.
