Media Advisory: Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield to Travel to Madison, Wisconsin
Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, October 6-8 where she will discuss U.S. efforts to combat global food insecurity and highlight how her time as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison helped shape her 35-year diplomatic career.
On the morning of October 7, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will visit the Badger Rock Urban Farm, where she will see firsthand how Wisconsin farmers are working to strengthen local and regional food systems. At Badger Rock, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will participate in a panel discussion on food access and creating local food sources in communities of color and highlight how the United States is working with the international community and through multilateral institutions to tackle food insecurity globally.

During the evening of October 7, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will join the University of Wisconsin – Madison community to celebrate Alumni Park’s fifth anniversary, where she will be among 11 new alumni honorees whose exhibits will be unveiled in the park.
