Media Advisory: Press Highlights of Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Schedule Before UNGA78 High-Level Week
On Thursday, September 14, at 11:30 a.m. EDT, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield will brief members of the press at the UN Press Briefing Room to preview the United States delegation’s engagements during High-Level Week and highlight the United States’ priorities for UNGA78. On Thursday, September 14 at 3:45 p.m. EDT, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will be a keynote speaker at Forbes’ 11th Annual Power Women’s Summit. In a fireside chat, she will discuss her recent travel to the border of Chad and Sudan among other topics. The Forbes Summit will be live streamed, and access to the live stream can be requested here.
On Friday, September 15, at 8:00 a.m. EDT, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will deliver a speech “A Vision for Sustainable Development” at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), where she will focus on how to avoid the cynicism trap while working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and ways the United States and the United Nations can work together to increase peace and prosperity at home and across the world.
