Ambassador Nikki Haley, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, met with Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), today in New York. Ambassador Haley conveyed the United States’ appreciation for the IAEA’s expertise and professionalism, and she expressed U.S. support for the IAEA’s efforts in carrying out robust verification of nuclear-related activities in Iran. Ambassador Haley reiterated the importance of Iran ensuring full and transparent access for the IAEA to carry out their mandated monitoring activities.
