Readout of a Meeting Between Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Costa Rican Foreign Minister Rodolfo Solano

On Monday evening, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield met with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Rodolfo Solano. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield expressed appreciation for Costa Rica’s leadership on many areas of shared importance including democracy, human rights, migration, and climate change. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and Foreign Minister Solano also discussed the dire impact of COVID on the region. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also expressed deep appreciation for the leadership and partnership of Costa Rica in addressing the refugee and migration challenges in Central America.
