Readout of a Meeting Between Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield met today with Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader. They discussed the shared ties between the peoples of the United States and the Dominican Republic, and their partnership in support of common interests at the United Nations. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield emphasized the United States’ commitment to leading an international and coordinated vaccination effort to end the COVID-19 pandemic and working together on a global post-pandemic recovery. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and President Abinader stressed their shared commitment to democratic governance, transparency, sustainable economic growth, the fight against corruption, and to working together to address shared regional challenges.
