Readout of Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today with Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso to discuss the strong U.S.-Ecuador bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield thanked President Lasso for Ecuador’s partnership in the UN Security Council, noting in particular Ecuador’s role in securing unanimous renewal for the mandate of the UN Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH).
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also expressed appreciation for Ecuador’s principled support for Ukraine and its commitment to the enduring principles of the UN Charter.
