Readout of Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan of Singapore in Rarotonga, Cook Islands

Yesterday, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met with Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan of Singapore on the sidelines of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) summit in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield thanked Foreign Minister Balakrishnan for Singapore’s partnership on a range of important global and regional issues, including the situations in Burma and the Middle East, as well as the safe use of artificial intelligence. The Ambassador expressed the United States intent to further build on the U.S.-Singapore Strategic Partnership, including at the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting in San Francisco.
