Readout of Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani
The below is attributable to U.S. Mission to the United Nations Spokesperson Nate Evans:
Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today with the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield condemned the violence perpetrated by armed assailants on September 24 in the north of Kosovo, which led to the death of a Kosovo Police Officer. The Ambassador expressed condolences and called for full accountability for the violence.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield emphasized U.S. support for the EU-facilitated Dialogue as the best path to reconcile issues between Kosovo and Serbia.
