Readout of Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa of Samoa in Rarotonga, Cook Islands

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met yesterday with Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa of Samoa in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield thanked the Prime Minister for her leadership in the region and for Samoa’s invaluable partnership on global and regional issues, including climate change. The Ambassador also expressed the United States commitment to further deepen U.S.-Samoa cooperation and people-to-people ties.
