AS DELIVERED

Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

I would also like to thank Bernardo Greiver, Chair of the Committee on Contributions for preparation of the Committee’s report.

Mr. Chairman, as we have all been doing over the past few months, the Committee on Contributions conducted their meetings and deliberations virtually this year and I would like to commend the Committee for their diligence and efficiency in carrying out their work in a very short time.

I would also note that the Committee has once again expressed its interest in providing the General Assembly its advice on the peacekeeping scale of assessments. My delegation continues to believes that the Committee can provide a useful perspective on the peacekeeping scales methodology, allowing the General Assembly to make better informed decisions. We look forward to working with delegations to find a way to incorporate the Committee’s feedback on the peacekeeping scale of assessments into our deliberations.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
