Special Rapporteur, how can Member States ensure the accounts of persons with disabilities are recorded in the context of armed conflict?
Thank you for your report on the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in the context of armed conflict. The United States was proud to co-sponsor Security Council 2475 on the situation of persons with disabilities in armed conflict. We continue to work towards implementation of this groundbreaking resolution.
The United States remains committed to implementation of the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy. My Delegation is proud to serve as the Co-Chair of the UN Accessibility Steering Committee for the 76th GA session.
President Biden issued on Executive Order (E.O.) on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. We are putting this E.O. into practice through our engagement with the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy.
