We wish to thank the facilitators for their flexibility and constructive approach in negotiating this resolution. We are pleased to vote in favor of this resolution and refer you to our remarks delivered on November 21 regarding our position with respect to the 2030 Agenda, Addis Ababa Action Agenda, Sendai Declaration, Paris Agreement, climate change language, and trade language related to the WTO and technology transfer.

The United States is also concerned about standalone references to agroecology. Focusing on the advancement of agroecological principles should not be seen as preferential to or come at the expense of other practices for producing food safely, sustainably, and efficiently.
